ABOUT US![]() Welcome to the American Association Of Dental Radiographic Technicians (AADMRT) website. The AADMRT is an association of dental radiographic professionals that represent the challenge of advancing in the field of dentomaxillofacial radiography and promotes development of the profession. THE PROFESSION
The Dental and Maxillofacial Radiography field is one that has grown significantly over the past several years. Changes in imaging techniques and modalities, as well as their expanded fields of use has increasingly shown the need for professional societies that specialize in particular fields of interest. That is where the AADMRT comes in. With roots dating back to the early 1970s, the American Association of Dental Maxillofacial Radiographic Technicians was founded in 1982 when the American Society of Dental X-Ray Technicians merged with the California Oral Radiographic Laboratories Association. A primary goal since then has been to strive to advance the field of dental radiology on a national scale. We currently have more than 100 members representing over a dozen states and Canada. ![]() EDUCATION
Education is the key to unlocking many of the major benefits available to the Dental Radiographic Technician, the doctor, and his or her patients. For that reason, education is a primary objective of the AADMRT. Over the years, our educational opportunities have increasingly expanded so that they now include an annual convention and several full day seminars offered at various locations across the country. Topics of interest often include the areas of new equipment, patient handling, film critique & interpretation, quality assurance, professional ethics and hygiene. Uniting AADMRT members in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding is another goal that we have dedicated ourselves to over the past several decades. Our board of directors is made up of regular active members, with the only requirement being the desire to serve the association and its members. AADMRT members also have the opportunity to share their expertise and experiences by giving presentations at our seminars and annual convention. The doors of understanding are always opened wider when one person is willing to share with another. Our quarterly newsletter and pictorial directory also help us stay in touch with what is happening in the life of our organization as well as its members. |
