PAST EDITOR'S MESSAGE | SPRING 2006

Camille Mayorga, DRT

Picture
Compassion. Good Old-fashioned service. When is the last time you went to an appointment and felt truly cared for and special? You probably can't remember, but there are those gifted souls out there that provide that comfort and peace to the world. I am fortunate to work with one of those people! Throughout the day I hear her joyful voice talking to our patients on the phone. Over and over I hear her exclaim "Don't worry, we'll make it work." I also hear her say "My name is Carol", because the person on the other end of the line so often will ask her "what is your name?"

It is not often that you receive that kind of genuine heart-felt kindness from another person. From the time our patient walks in the door until the time they leave, they are special to us. What ever can be done to go the extra mile we try to do. The good will we provide is rewarding and comes back to us over and over again. Working with such giving, compassionate people is truly a blessing, and I feel lucky every day.
