I wanted to share a letter with the membership that I received from Madeline Gomes. Frank and Madeline Gomes were members of the AADMRT for many years before they retired. I am sure there are several members who know Frank and Madeline and have made memories with them from past conferences and AADMRT events. Frank and Madeline were gracious enough to be one of my first "Spotlight Labs" for the newsletter.
I have been sending them issues of the newsletter since they retired and they have reciprocated by sending me cards and letters over the years. In the latest card I received, reprinted below, Madeline also included the gavel she used when she was president of the A.S.D.X.T., which later became the AADMRT.
I am honored to receive this gift and would like to share it with the general membership. Thank you Frank and Madeline for giving the AADMRT this memory from days gone by.
Letter To The Editor, January 5, 2007
Dear Camille,
Again, thank you for thinking of us, that certainly was a clever holiday greeting card, was that accomplished with some new high-tech equipment? Ha! It was very unique. Frank and I enjoy reading the "Currents", with the President's Message, the professional articles, and especially the personal revelations.
In trying to keep up with my de-cluttering it is time to pass this gavel on from my President's days of A.S.D.X.T. (Late 1970's). The band may be changed, maybe it can be put to use or filed in a memorabilia box.
May you all have a Happy New Year and continue with great progress!
