PRESIDENT'S MESSAGES | SUMMER 2010By: Dan Halpert, DXLT
![]() Hello all,
I am amazed at how fast this year is flying by. Here we are half way through and I feel like I'm back in early March, except for the weather. There has been a lot of behind the scenes work done by your Board of Directors and the emails fly almost weekly when there is an issue to be discussed. Thankfully most of the recent changes are of the routine variety, such as renewal of domain names for the web site, web site updates and other odds and ends. One of the changes is the handing off of the membership duties from Dawn Harrat to Judy Hurt. I would like to thank Dawn for the years that she has handled the position. Even though Dawn relocated to Pennsylvania a few years ago and recently had a child she continued to keep the membership records and generate the mailing labels that make sure your copy of Currents gets to you every quarter. We are in the final phase for the Fall Annual Convention. This year is a joint meeting with the AAOMR. Dr. Dania Tamimi has been regularly reminding me that they are looking for the submission of Abstracts to be presented at the meeting. Wondering what an abstract is? My understanding is that an abstract is a written presentation of research that you have done that relates to our field. Please email me at: President@aadmrt.com and I will send you an outline of what is expected and how to submit your abstract. There will be an article elsewhere in this issue that will provide further information on the Joint AAOMR/AADMRT Meeting in November. Dan |
