Recently someone very close to me (my husband) lost his job unexpectedly. With the state of the economy-we are all experiencing similar situations or know someone who is. That led me to gear this message toward change. I found the following quotes online relating to that topic-
"All great changes are preceded by chaos." -Deepak Chopra
"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect." -Mark Twain
"When in doubt, choose change." -Lily Leung
"The best thing you can do is the right thing; the next best thing you can do is the wrong thing; the worst thing you can do is nothing." -Theodore Roosevelt
"Some changes look negative on the surface but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge." - Eckhart Tolle
"Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything." - George Bernard Shaw
My family and I are trying to look at our situation as an opportunity and trying to be positive and not dwell on the negative. Not always so easy to do, but I believe in the long run we will be better people because of this.
Many of us in our imaging labs have seen some dramatic changes over the years. Our cheese has been moved-or in some cases taken away. We need to look at what we can do to move forward. Maybe add different services to our labs, stay on that technical wave of what new things are being offered. Keep ourselves educated and connected.
That of course is where our organization is helpful. I hope all of you are making plans to attend our upcoming 34th annual convention in Minneapolis. There will be topics on some changes we can make to enhance our practices, and as always comradery and support. It's always good to get the imaging family together for our annual reunion!
